Stormwater Management
Stormwater management reduces the impact runoff has on the environment and enhances the positives through catering for the hydraulic needs of a development whilst ensuring the associated negative environmental impacts are kept to a minimum. We can achieve this by adopting a stormwater management strategy. A management plan is designed following the best design practises attaining a sustainable urban drainage system (SUDS). This is achieved by applying control to the quantity and improving the quality of the runoff. This reduces flooding, maintains recreational water quality, protects the natural aquatic environment and recharges the natural groundwater. The analysis is modelled using PC SWMM and other runoff modelling programs.
